• What do you mean by storytelling?

I’m a storyteller! I get up on stages and I tell true personal narratives in front of an audience of people. It’s scary but I love it! I believe telling our own stories, and listening to other’s stories, is the greatest way to create empathy, connection, and community.

The more we tell our stories and are willing to share our fears and insecurities, the more normal we realize those fears and insecurities are. The more normal we feel, the less energy we waste trying to hide, and the freer we are to focus on the things we really want.

  • How do you use storytelling in coaching?

I’m not asking you to get on a stage (although I highly encourage it). I only require you to come to each private and confidential session with an openness for self-exploration.

  • What if I don’t have any stories to tell?

Sure you do. We are constantly telling our stories over the phone, during dinner, at a party, to our cats, in our own head…..

  • What if I still can’t think of any?

That’s what I’m here for! My favorite thing to do is help people dig through their internal stories in a safe environment, and figure out how to write their next chapter without the burden of shame.
